Using blog – smart phone

What is a blog?

A blog is a simple website. The word “blog” is short for “web log”. When people first started creating blogs they were often used to provide a running commentary on a topic, similar to a personal journal, dairy or logbook. Now blogs are often used by individuals and community groups because it is a free way to share information on the internet.

On the home page  you will see a blue band across the top with “Menu” on the left and “Search” on the right.

When you click on Search you can type in a keyword (such as “water”) and your phone will find all the posts that include that word. When you click on Search it will also make a Follow link visible just above your keyboard. You can enter your email address there to be notified when anything new is posted on the blog.

When you click on Menu you will get a drop-down menu with the choices Home, Toxic Time-Bomb, Location & Facts, Recent, and Contact.

  • Click on the Toxic Time-Bomb to open a new page with the Toxic Time-bomb leaflet. Just above the picture of the leaflet it says Download pdf file of this information: fortune minerals pamphlet March2013final. If you click on that link (blue printing) it will open a page with the printable version of the leaflet.
  • Click on Location & Facts for a basic summary of information about the project.

  • Click on Contact for contact info for various decision-makers and encouragement for people to make their views known.
